Setting Model Visibility

Last updated on Mar 24, 2026

Model visibility controls whether a 3D model listing is available for customers to see in the marketplace. This helps you decide when a model is ready to be shown publicly and when it should remain hidden from general browsing.

Why visibility matters

Visibility settings help you:

  • Control when a model is exposed to customers

  • Keep unfinished or incomplete listings private

  • Manage what appears in your public portfolio

  • Publish models only when they are ready

What model visibility affects

A model’s visibility can affect whether it:

  • Appears in marketplace browsing

  • Can be discovered by customers

  • Functions as part of your visible model portfolio

When to review model visibility

You may want to check or update visibility when:

  • Adding a new model

  • Editing a listing

  • Preparing a model for publication

  • Hiding a model that should no longer be public

  • Reviewing older listings

How to set model visibility

1. Open the model listing

Go to the model you want to create or edit.

2. Review the visibility setting

Check whether the model is currently set to be visible or not.

3. Choose the visibility you want

Set the listing based on whether it is ready for customers to see.

4. Save the model

After saving, confirm that the model now reflects the visibility you intended.

When a model should be visible

A model is usually ready to be visible when:

  • The title and description are complete

  • The files are correct

  • The preview images are strong

  • The category and tags are accurate

  • You are comfortable presenting it publicly

When a model should stay hidden

A model may be better kept hidden when:

  • The listing is incomplete

  • The files still need review

  • The preview images are not ready

  • You are still editing the design or listing details

Tips for managing visibility well

  • Review visibility before saving a new model

  • Hide listings that are not ready for customers

  • Recheck visibility after editing older models

  • Make sure public listings represent your current standards

If visibility changes do not appear

If the listing does not reflect the updated setting right away:

  • Refresh the page

  • Reopen the model listing

  • Confirm the save was successful

  • Check again after a short delay
